Institutional Research Philosophy
Institutional research is foundational to overcoming the challenges higher education institutions are facing. Institutional research is often focused on collecting and analyzing evidence aimed to assist upper administration in making data-driven decisions. I believe that there is significant value in conducting assessments and undergoing program prioritization with an institution’s mission in mind. I also believe that relevant data should be collected following best practices. Finally, data must be presented in a clear, concise manner so all relevant parties can understand and use the information presented. This way the research can directly support my institution in its mission.
