Mission Statement
Moving to China began as an adventure but soon blossomed into a passionate endeavor. So many of my students want to succeed in international education but lack the confidence and encouragement to be competitive. I have found that through teaching science at international boarding schools, I have the opportunity to help guide students through the stressful years of applying to international colleges and facing new challenges. Through providing letter of recommendation, guidance to find scholarships, or simply classwork in various learning styles, I have seen tremendous improvement in my student’s confidence in themselves and in their futures. As I earn a Master’s of Higher Education and continue my endeavors in international education, I hope to move from being an educator to being involved in logistical support of international students. The cultural differences that I experience daily in China are challenging, and I know that I can help international students understand similar difficulties as they integrate into the United States. Ultimately, my goal is to assist international students through improving student retention, student experience, and student success.
